Warm Banks – Heated Community Space For all: Monday to Friday 11am – 6pm. Project timeline is from January to 31 March 2023.
Warm banks are places where people can go for free heating if they cannot afford to turn on their home’s heating this winter. Zimbabwe Newport Volunteering Association has organised a warm bank to assist people of ethnic minority backgrounds who are struggling with rising energy costs. Beneficiaries will be able to get information, advice, and assistance on the cost of living crisis, as well as be directed to and/or referred to other agencies for assistance. The project will run from January to March 31, 2023.

BE THE DIFFERENCE
Our aim is to support healthy communities in Wales and Zimbabwe. We do this through establishing food banks, local environmental action and youth work provision in both Newport and Mufakose.
You can join our volunteer scheme which sees youth from Newport visit Mufakose and youth from Mufakose visit Newport on cultural exchange visits.
